Investing.com -- Microsoft’s Azure cloud service and its productivity software suite are experiencing a significant outage affecting thousands of users on Wednesday, according to outage tracking website Downdetector.com.
Azure was reported down for more than 17,000 users while Microsoft 365 service disruptions affected nearly 11,500 users, Downdetector data shows. The tracking service collates status reports from multiple sources to identify service problems.
Microsoft acknowledged the issues on its Azure status page, stating: "We are investigating an issue with the Azure Portal where customers may be experiencing issues accessing the portal."
The company also reported that users might be unable to access the Microsoft 365 admin center and could experience delays when trying to use other services. Additional problems include issues with add-ins and network connectivity in Outlook.
Microsoft confirmed it was reviewing reports of problems impacting Azure and related services, including the Microsoft 365 admin center.
According to Downdetector, Amazon’s AWS cloud services are also experiencing outages in the United States at the same time.
