ProCook to open five new stores ahead of Christmas trading period

LONDON - Kitchenware retailer ProCook announced Monday it will open five additional stores in October and November, bringing its total new store count to 10 for the current fiscal year ahead of the Christmas shopping season.

The new locations will be in Manchester Arndale, Birmingham Bullring, Canterbury, Plymouth and Eastbourne, according to a company press release. These openings will expand ProCook’s total UK retail footprint to 75 stores.

The expansion is part of the company’s strategy to reach 100 UK stores, a target first announced in June 2024. Since then, ProCook has invested £7.0 million to open 22 new stores in what it describes as prime retail locations.

The five upcoming stores will be situated in high-traffic shopping destinations. Manchester Arndale attracts over 45 million visitors annually, while Birmingham Bullring sees approximately 35 million visitors per year. The company stated that collectively, the ten new stores opened this fiscal year will provide exposure to more than 120 million visitors annually.

Most of the new locations will feature larger-format stores designed to showcase ProCook’s expanding product range, including its growing line of small kitchen electricals. The Birmingham Bullring location will debut a refreshed store format.

The retailer has already opened five stores this fiscal year in Southampton, Hereford, Reading, Cotswolds Designer Outlet and Chichester.

ProCook, which specializes in direct-to-consumer kitchenware, reported that its store expansion program has created over 150 new jobs across the UK.

The company has been listed on the London Stock Exchange since November 2021.
