Tonix Pharmaceuticals stock halted ahead of FDA approval news
Shineco Inc. (SISI) announced the establishment of a Biological Cell Digital Business Division and appointed Lin Hongguang as general manager to integrate the company’s biological cell assets with blockchain technology.
The Beijing-based induced pluripotent stem cell technology platform manufacturer stated the division aims to build a blockchain-based ecosystem for managing biological cell assets. The division’s objectives include promoting standardized management of biological cell assets, establishing an induced pluripotent stem cells cell bank, and creating compliance frameworks for asset traceability and security confirmation.
The division plans to develop blockchain tools including equity transfer mechanisms to address circulation inefficiencies in cell assets. The company stated this initiative is intended to allow medical and research institutions more flexible resource allocation and lower service access barriers through flexible payment methods.
Lin Hongguang previously served as chief researcher at the Korea Digital Currency Research Institute and has experience in blockchain and digital asset industries. His responsibilities include developing standards for on-chain cell asset listings, expanding global ecosystem collaborations, and establishing a global distribution network for biological cell products.
"Bio-cell technology is a core driving force of the ’big health’ industry, but the industry currently faces challenges such as low global circulation efficiency, difficulty in cross-regional collaboration, and high user service thresholds," said Jennifer Zhan, CEO of Shineco. "We established the Biological Cell Digital Division precisely to break through these bottlenecks through a cell asset chain model."
Shineco’s core business encompasses induced pluripotent stem cell technology platforms and extracellular vesicle-derived products. The company provides health and medical products and services focused on healthy living and quality of life improvement.
