Street Calls of the Week
VivoPower International PLC (VVPR) announced a partnership with Doppler Finance to generate yield on its XRP cryptocurrency holdings. The company plans to deploy an initial $30 million of XRP through Doppler’s platform as part of its treasury strategy.
The agreement aims to create what VivoPower describes as a "regenerative loop" where yields earned on deployed XRP will be reinvested back into the company’s reserves. VivoPower believes the Doppler Finance platform can grow beyond $200 million.
Doppler Finance operates as a yield generation protocol built on the XRP Ledger and is backed by ReForge, Digital Currency Group, and other Ripple-affiliated entities. The platform focuses on institutional-grade yield infrastructure for XRP holdings.
"We are proud to have signed this definitive partnership agreement with VivoPower and look forward to working closely with them as they build out their digital asset treasury and decentralized finance solutions strategy in South Korea," said Rox Park, Head of Korea at Doppler Finance.
Kevin Chin, Executive Chairman and CEO of VivoPower, stated the partnership provides a platform to participate in South Korea’s XRP ecosystem, particularly in payment remittances via stablecoins, real-world asset tokenization, and decentralized finance lending.
According to Doppler Finance’s internal estimates cited in the announcement, South Korea holds $30 billion of XRP’s circulating supply, representing 20% of the global total.
VivoPower, originally founded in 2014 and listed on NASDAQ since 2016, has shifted toward a digital treasury strategy centered on XRP acquisition and management. The company operates globally with business units including Tembo, focused on electric vehicle solutions, and Caret Digital, which handles digital asset mining operations.
