Joby Aviation closes $591 million stock offering with full underwriter option
Investing.com -- HelloFresh SE (TG:HFGG) stock tumbled on Tuesday after U.S. health officials issued a public health alert for certain HelloFresh subscription meal kits containing spinach that may be contaminated with listeria.
The U.S. Department of Agriculture warned consumers late Monday not to eat specific HelloFresh Ready Made Meals, including Cheesy Pulled Pork Pepper Pasta and Unstuffed Peppers with Ground Turkey.
Both products were shipped directly to consumers and were produced by FreshRealm, a California-based company already linked to an expanding listeria outbreak tied to heat-and-eat pasta meals.
The contamination issue was discovered when FreshRealm notified the USDA’s Food Safety and Inspection Service that spinach used in the products tested positive for listeria bacteria.
The affected pork pepper pasta products are identified with establishment number Est. 47718 and lot code 49107 or Est. 2937 and lot code 48840. The unstuffed peppers with ground turkey carry Est. P-47718 and lot codes 50069, 50073 or 50698.
"-ve for sentiment albeit we’d note the public health alert concerns 2 ready meals supplied by FreshRealm to HFG which are available as add-on options to mealkits, thus we believe it likely impacts a small subsection of their customers," according to UBS analysts.
The meal kit provider’s shares were down 5% following the announcement.
