Microsoft (NASDAQ:MSFT) is aiming to finalize its acquisition of Activision Blizzard (NASDAQ:ATVI) on October 13, pending approval from the UK's Competition and Markets Authority (CMA), according to the report in the Verge.

The CMA is currently in the process of evaluating the deal, with a final decision expected next week.

Last month, Microsoft said it was actively working to address the concerns raised by the CMA related to cloud game streaming in its acquisition of Activision.

The company is committed to gaining approval and closing the deal before the October 18 deadline.
