Ryanair forward bookings up 1%, fares recovering lost ground

Investing.com -- Ryanair’s forward bookings are up about 1% compared to last year, while average fares are close to recovering the 7% decline seen in the previous fiscal year, according to Group Chief Executive Michael O’Leary.

"Our fares are up. We think we’re getting close to fares this year being up about 7%. Last year our fares fell about 7%," O’Leary said at a news conference on Thursday.

The airline executive expressed confidence about future passenger growth, stating that Ryanair could "easily get to 300 million passengers by mid 2030s." O’Leary added that the airline might even reach "350-400 million by mid 2030s," though he cautioned that "that growth would be too aggressive."
