Prior to that, he was responsible for Product Development in Hong Kong. He was a member of the UBS Hana Asset Management Executive Committee. Urs joined UBS in 2001 as a portfolio manager with responsibility for the UBS Strategy Funds in CHF and the UBS Equity Fund – Gold. In March 2005, he joined the Swiss Equities / Systematic Alpha team, responsible for the Small Cap Switzerland Fund as well as quantitative research. Urs is a member of the CFA Institute.

Biography Urs von Gunten is a Senior Portfolio Manager and Team Head Switzerland on the Systematic & Index Investments team, responsible for equity index portfolios. As well as his clients‘ portfolios, he has been heading the UBS 100 Index – Fund Switzerland since 1995. From 1997-2005 he also managed passive global equity portfolios. He and his team are also responsible for different Global Equity index products as well as European Equity index products. Urs joined UBS Asset Management in 1995. Prior to this Urs was working since 1984 for UBS WM and UBS Investment Bank; mainly as a licensed stock trader at the Swiss Stock Exchange with Nostro responsibility. Urs worked as an intern from 1992 to1994 with the former Ducatel Duval in Paris and Ingalls & Snyder in New York.
