Biography James Ind is an Investment Director in Barings' Multi Asset Group. He is a member of the Strategic Policy Group and the Equity Research Sub Group, forming a part of the company’s global macro research and allocation team. James joined Barings in 2015 from GLG Partners where he was an equity specialist and portfolio manager on the Macro & Relative Value team, supporting their Total Return, Macro and Emerging Markets funds.  He also chaired GLG’s cross divisional Asset Allocation Investment Committee.  Prior to that, he spent five years at Russell Investments as Managing Director in the multi asset team.  During this time he was responsible for over $5 billion across ten asset allocation portfolios.  From 1999 to 2008, James managed global equity and multi asset portfolios at Merrill Lynch Investment Managers.  James studied at Durham University and Cass Business School, where he received an MBA with Finance.  He received his CFA designation in 2002.

Biography Robert has over 25 years’ experience in financial services and joined Santander Asset Management in 2016. He is head of Strategic Investment Solutions and is responsible for delivery of advisory services to the UK Bank’s pension plan and managing multi manager portfolios. Prior to joining Santander, Robert was a Principal Investment Consultant at Aon Hewitt where, he was lead investment advisor to a portfolio of corporate and trustee clients, with pension scheme assets from £100m to £12bn. Whilst there, he was cofounder of the Corporate Advisory and Insurance Solutions groups, and headed up the Transition team for several years. He is a Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries.

Prior to Henderson, Stephen was with Santander Asset Management, where he managed the firm’s enhanced, dividend, and equity income funds from 2007. Before that, he worked for Blue Oar Securities as a sell-side analyst specialising in UK high-yield equities. Earlier, he was with Teachers Investment Management, where he managed the UK mid- and small-cap equity funds and the Sovereign Income Unit Trust. He also worked at Framlington Investments and Hill Samuel Asset Management managing their UK Equity Income fund ranges. He started his career at Abbey Life. Stephen has a BSc degree (Hons) in economics from the University of Southampton. He is an associate of the CFA Society of the UK, having completed the associate examination and subsequently having been granted the ASIP designation. He has 24 years of financial industry experience."
