In this position, which he held for more than ten years, Richard was responsible for managing the UK and European Small Cap team and running Small Cap equity mandates. Between 1996 and 2003, he was also Head of Global Small Cap and responsible for the Global/EAFE Small Cap product. Richard has a Bachelor of Commerce (Hons) from Edinburgh University and is an Associate of the Society of Investment Analysts.

Biography James re-joined Jupiter in 2014, having previously worked for us as an equity analyst. He is currently a fund manager in the UK Growth team. During his year away from Jupiter, James worked for the New York-based global equity fund Rockefeller and Company, where he was an analyst. James is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and is a CFA charterholder.

Philip Matthews Portfolio Manager 2002 2006
Biography Philip joined the Wise Funds team in September 2018 as Co-portfolio manager. He started his career at Jupiter in 1999, during this period he has managed retail and institutional equity portfolios. His portfolios focused on income generation and he has experience investing into UK companies across the market cap spectrum. In 2013 he joined Schroders, where he managed their UK Alpha Plus portfolio and UK Growth Investment Trust.
