He was co-manager of the Threadneedle UK Smaller Companies Fund, the Threadneedle UK Mid 250 Fund and a range of small cap institutional portfolios. He was also lead manager of the Threadneedle UK Ethical Equity Fund and was responsible for stock analysis and idea generation for the wider team. Prior to joining Threadneedle, Matthew was a portfolio manager at Legal & General Investment Management specialising in UK Small Caps. He graduated from Loughborough University with a degree in Geography and Sports Science. In addition, Matt holds the Investment Management Certificate.

Biography Simon Haines is a portfolio manager in the Global Equities team. He took up this role in November 2013 and is currently lead manager across the desk’s EAFE and Shariah portfolios. He also has research responsibility for the industrials sector and for the Asia-Pacific region. Simon joined the company in 1999 as a trainee UK Equities portfolio manager, progressing to portfolio manager in January 2005, where he managed the Threadneedle UK Mid 250 Fund and co-managed the Threadneedle UK Extended Alpha Fund. Simon graduated with a degree in biology from Oxford University in 1999 and also holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.

Biography After graduating from Oxford University, Dan specialized in UK Smaller Companies in the mid-1990s at Aviva. He then spent 13 years managing UK Smaller Companies' pension and life funds at Colombia Threadneedle, of which the final 7 years were as Head of the Team. Dan joined Teviot in May 2021 and acceded to Partner in January 2022.

Before joining Threadneedle, Paul was a Director of Rothschild Asset Management Limited, where he was head of UK Smaller Companies and managed the Five Arrows Smaller UK Companies Fund.Paul is an Associate of the UK Society of Investment Professions (UKSIP).
