Ben Armstrong Pulls Up On Former Associate Carlos Diaz, Gets Arrested

  • As per a video shared on Twitter, crypto influencer Ben Armstrong was seen live-streaming outside a former colleague’s house.
  • Armstrong was subsequently arrested by the Police; no specific charges have yet been pressed.
  • Community members on X have suggested that Armstrong was in possession of a loaded firearm at the time of his arrest.

On September 26, Bitcoin expert Ramekin shared a 37-minute video of popular crypto influencer Ben Armstrong, also known as Bitboy Crypto, live streaming outside the property of a former business associate, Carlos Diaz. Consultant and NFT investor Diaz, who allegedly has custody of Armstrong’s Lamborghini, also has reported ties with Hit Network, Armstrong’s former crypto media company.

According to an online record available on the Gwinnett County Sheriff’s Department website, an individual named “Benjamin Charles Armstrong” has been arrested. However, no charges have yet been specified. Moreover, the video shared by Ramekin sparked speculation that Armstrong was carrying a loaded weapon in the rear seat of his vehicle. A Twitter user further remarked,

At 1:22, when he said “I need to put something up. I don’t think he’s going to kill me live on YouTube.” Then, put whatever it was in the backseat. What was it? Because he later told the cop that he had a gun in the backseat.

Earlier today, Armstrong tweeted that he will be live-streaming from a “very special location on YouTube.” The comment section on Armstrong’s tweet featured a number of videos making fun of his actions, claiming that the influencer “literally rugged himself.”

A few hours later, Diaz confirmed that Armstrong had, in fact, showed up at his house, via a clip showing Armstrong knocking on the door. Subsequently, renowned blockchain sleuth ZachXBT, a frequent critic of Armstrong and his business ventures, was noted “celebrating” the arrest. In a tweet, he mentioned that he will forever commemorate “one of the most notorious bad actors in crypto finally getting karma.”

Additionally, BEN tokens, introduced by Armstrong earlier this year, experienced a 30% decline in value as news of the arrest began to circulate on Tuesday. As per data from CoinMarketCap, the token is currently trading at $0.0000000166.
