GLOBAL MARKETS
U.S. stock futures and Asian shares fell on Monday on growing
anxiety over whether the United States and China will be able
to salvage a trade deal, after Washington sharply hiked
tariffs and Beijing vowed to retaliate.

WORLD OIL PRICES
Oil futures were mixed on Monday, with U.S. crude edging
lower, as investors and traders fretted over global economic
growth prospects amid a standoff in Sino-U.S. trade

SOUTH AFRICA ELECTION
Thousands of supporters of South Africa's African National
Congress (ANC) took to the streets of downtown Johannesburg
on Sunday to celebrate victory in last week's election
despite a lower share of the vote. REPUBLIC ECONOMY
An International Monetary Fund mission said on Thursday that
it had agreed a three-year lending programme with Congo
Republic subject to the government's fulfilment of reforms
and approval by the IMF's executive board. MINING
Zambia's Mopani Copper Mines plans to close two shafts at its

Aker ASA AKER.OL expects Ghanaian authorities to approve a
revised $4.4 billion development plan for the offshore Pecan
oilfield by the end of the third quarter of 2019, the
Norwegian investment firm's chief executive told Reuters on
