ABUJA, Dec 31 (Reuters) - Nigeria's five-year naira futures
hit a new record low of 608.10 to the dollar on Thursday after
the central bank weakened the currency on the derivatives
market, traders said.
The bank weakened maturities across the board with the
longest tenor the most hit, traders said, while it revised the
one-year maturity due November 2021 to 430.72 naira per dollar
from 427.93 naira a month ago.
The currency NGNNDFOR= also eased on the forwards market,
with the one-month contract down 1.5% to 406 naira per dollar.
