Investing.com - Agilent Technologies (NYSE:A) reported fourth quarter earnings that beat analysts' expectations, while revenue was inline.
The firm reported earnings per share of $1.21 on revenue of $1.66 billion. Analysts polled by Investing.com forecast EPS of $1.18 on revenue of $1.66 billion.
The diagnostics and genomics business generated fourth-quarter revenue of $341 million, up a reported 16% year over year while the Agilent CrossLab business posted fourth-quarter revenue of $572 million, representing year-over-year reported growth of 10%.
Looking ahead, fiscal first-quarter revenue guidance was in a range of $1.64 billion to $1.66 billion, and EPS between $1.16 and $1.18 per share. That compared with expectations for revenue of $1.66 billon on earnings of $1.16.
Fiscal year 2022 revenue was expected in the range of $6.65 billion to $6.73 billion, representing reported growth of 5.2% to 6.5%, with earnings guided in a range of $4.76 to $4.86 per share.
