Congresswoman Nancy Pelosi's recent financial disclosure revealed that she bought more NVIDIA (NVDA) shares and sold some Microsoft (NASDAQ:MSFT) shares.
According to a new congressional trading form, the Congresswoman bought 10,000 shares worth of Nvidia (NASDAQ:NVDA), with the transaction worth between $1 million and $5 million, according to the report.
The form also shows that the 84-year-old Congresswoman, representing the 11th district in California, sold 5,000 shares of Microsoft, worth between $1 million and $5 million.
The form shows that the notification date for the transactions was July 26.
Nvidia shares are up more than 1% premarket Thursday, adding to the more than 12% gains made on Wednesday. The substantial gains in Wednesday's session came after the positive earnings release from AMD, which topped consensus expectations.
Nvidia, known for its leadership in graphics processing units (GPUs) and artificial intelligence (AI) technology, saw its shares rise in response to AMD's success. Similarly, Broadcom, a key player in the semiconductor and infrastructure software sectors, experienced a boost as the optimistic sentiment spread throughout the industry.
In early July, Pelosi bought 10,000 Nvidia shares, worth between $1 million and $5 million, while she also purchased call options in fellow chipmaker, Broadcom, worth between $1 million and $5 million.
