Biography Leon Zhu is a Senior Vice President and Portfolio Manager of Multi-Asset Solutions at AB, and has been Co-Portfolio Manager of Global Risk Allocation products since 2012. Previously, he served as director of Quantitative Research, a position he held for 10 years. Zhu was also a member of the Investment Policy Group for the firm’s Global Diversified Strategies hedge funds from its inception in 2002 until 2014. Before joining AB as a quantitative analyst in 1995, he was a consultant at Princeton Consultants. Zhu holds a BS in mathematics from Yale University and an MA in mathematics from Princeton University, and is a CFA charterholder.

Biography Michael DePalma joined PhaseCapital in June 2016 after working at AB (formerly AllianceBernstein) for 25 years. Most recently, Mr. DePalma was Senior Vice President and Chief Investment Officer for Quantitative Investment Strategies, AB’s systematic multi-asset and alternatives business, as well as Director of Fixed Income Absolute Return. In this capacity, he was responsible for all aspects of these businesses, managing investment, research and technology teams, marketing and sales, as well as product development. Prior to that, Mr. DePalma was Director of Fixed Income and FX quantitative research globally and portfolio manager for AB’s quant-driven multi-strategy hedge fund. Early in his career, Mr. DePalma was part of the team that developed AB’s Capital Markets Engine and Wealth Forecasting System, the technology at the core of all the asset allocation services delivered to clients. Mr. DePalma graduated with a B.S. in Mathematics and Economics from Northeastern University and a M.S. in Mathematics, Statistics, Operations Research from New York University’s Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences.

Biography Ashwin Alankar is Head of Global Asset Allocation at Janus Henderson Investors. In this role, he is responsible for defining short- and long-term approaches to asset allocation. He also co-manages the Adaptive Allocation and Diversified Alternatives strategies. Prior to joining Janus in 2014, Dr. Alankar served from 2010 to 2014 as co-chief investment officer of quantitative investment strategies at AllianceBernstein. From 2003 to 2010, he was a partner and capital allocation committee member for Platinum Grove Asset Management. Dr. Alankar’s experience also includes serving as a consultant in the financial litigation division of the Law and Economics Consulting Group from 2001 to 2002. Dr. Alankar earned a bachelor of science degree in chemical engineering and mathematics and a master of science degree in chemical engineering, all from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He also holds a Ph.D. in finance from the University of California – Berkeley, Haas School of Business. Dr. Alankar has 18 years of financial industry experience.

Biography Paul DeNoon is Director of AB’s Global High Income and Emerging Market Debt strategies and a Partner of the firm. He leads the management of AB’s large global high-yield franchise, co-managing the firm’s award-winning High Income Fund, named “Best Fund over 10 Years” by Lipper from 2012 through 2015. DeNoon is also a Director, with Shamaila Khan, of AB’s Emerging Market Debt Portfolios, overseeing the management of emerging-market sovereign, quasi-sovereign and corporate debt strategies in both hard and local currencies. He is a member of the firm’s Emerging Market Multi-Asset Strategy Committee, Dynamic Asset Allocation Committee and the Municipal Impact Investment Policy Group. DeNoon is also the Partner overseeing the firm’s corporate responsibility, which includes responsible investment (environmental, social and corporate governance) and diversity and inclusion. He joined AB in 1992, and was instrumental in introducing some of the firm’s flagship emerging-market debt and global high-yield funds. Previously, DeNoon was a vice president in the Investment Portfolio Group at Manufacturers Hanover Trust and an economist in the bank’s Financial Markets Research Group, where he was primarily responsible for the analysis of monetary and fiscal policy. Biography Greg Wilensky is the Director and Lead Portfolio Manager of AB’s US Multi-Sector Fixed Income team, a position he has held since 2007. He has also been responsible for the firm’s US Inflation-Linked Fixed Income portfolios since 1999 and the firm’s stable value investments business since 1998. A Senior Vice President, Wilensky co-chairs the Securitized Asset and Liquid Markets research review meetings.
