Biography Boyd is a portfolio manager with the BMO Taxable Fixed Income Team. He serves as a corporate sector specialist for the short-duration group. Boyd is a part of the liquidity products team that has principal responsibility for the firm’s short-duration, securities lending and cash management strategies. He joined the company in 1996. He holds an M.B.A. in finance from DePaul University and a B.S. in business administration from Ferris State University.

He is the lead manager of the BMO Prime Money Market Fund, the BMO Government Money Market Fund, the BMO Short-Term Income Fund and related portfolios. He is co-manager of the BMO Tax-Free Money Market Fund. Peter also serves on the Investment Committee, the Risk Committee and the New Business Committee. Peter joined the company in 1994 as a portfolio manager.

Biography Vincent S. Russo, CFA, is a senior member responsible for corporate credit risk and serves on the Fixed Income Policy Committee, the Credit Analyst Policy Group and the Risk Management Committee. Vince joined M&I Investment Management Corp. in 2002 as a credit analyst for the Marshall Short-Term Income, Aggregate Bond, Short-Intermediate Bond, Prime Money Market and Government money-market funds. From 1997 until 2002, he was a fixed income analyst for Clarica Life Insurance Co. Prior to this, he worked in the financial services technology industry for Beta Systems for seven years. He holds a BBA in Finance and an MBA, both from the University of Wisconsin – Whitewater. He is a member of the CFA Institute and is an active member of the CFA Society of Milwaukee.

Biography Richard Rokus joined Great Lakes Advisors as a Senior Portfolio Manager in 2011. With 25 years of portfolio management experience, he is responsible for the management of fixed income portfolios for municipalities, corporations, foundations and other institutional clients. He manages portfolios across all types of maturities, durations and fixed income strategies. He also leads the firm’s efforts in the analysis of residential mortgage, commercial mortgage and high yield securities. Rich began his industry career in 1992. Prior to joining the firm, Rich spent 17 years at M&I Investment Management Corporation and was responsible for managing over $18 billion in taxable mutual funds, limited partnerships, and separate accounts. As a member of the Fixed Income Policy Committee, Rich had oversight responsibility for all fixed income products managed by the firm. He was also managed the securities lending trading team. As a Portfolio Manager of the Marshall Prime Money Market Fund, he received the IBC Money Fund Report award for the highest yielding taxable money market fund in 1998, as well as the Crane Data and IMoney.net awards for the highest yielding AAA-rated taxable institutional money market fund in 2009. Rich received his MBA from the University of Notre Dame as well as a BBA in Finance from the University of Wisconsin at Whitewater. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and a member of the CFA Society of Milwaukee.
Mark D. Pittman Vice President, Portfolio Manager 1994 2001
Biography Pittman is currently a vice president and portfolio manager with M&I Investment Management, his employer since June 1994. Previously, he spent five years as a fixed-income portfolio manager with Valley Trust Company. Pittman holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
Lawrence J. Pavelec Senior Vice President 1992 1995
Biography Mr. Pavelec serves in a leadership position for Nicholas Company as the Chief Operating Officer and head of product distribution. Mr. Pavelec joined Nicholas Company in 2003, to serve as the portfolio manager lead the product distribution effort. His career as a credit analyst and portfolio manager began in 1984 with M&I Investment Management Corp., where he focused on investment-grade corporate bonds, asset-backed securities and mortgage-backed securities. Before joining Nicholas, he was with Brandes Investment Partners as the co-manager for Brandes Fixed Income Partners, serving as portfolio manager and head of marketing for the firm. Mr. Pavelec earned his B.S. in Finance from the University of Wisconsin at La Crosse. He has earned the right to use the CFA designation and is a member of the CFA Society Milwaukee.
