Earlier, he served as Director of Quantitative Research and Financial Engineering with Loomis Sayles & Co., and Director of Quantitative Research and Risk Management with Fortis Investments. He led quantitative research and risk management groups to develop quantitative strategies, portfolio risk analytics and structured credit strategies.  Dr. Ma also worked as Senior Vice President and Director of Fixed Income Strategies at Sun Life Financial, where he helped manage $30 billion in fixed income assets and chaired the investment strategy and asset/liability management committee. His investment career began with John Hancock Financial Services as a Senior Associate Investment Officer. He developed investment and derivatives strategies as well as oversaw $3 billion in a multi-asset portfolio. Dr. Ma is a published author and an industry speaker on the topics of quantitative investing, risk management and structured finance. He earned a Bachelor and a Master in Economics and Management from Peking University and a Ph.D. in Economics from Boston University.

Biography Scott S. Chaisson is the Chairman and CEO of Compass Holdings Group in Braintree Massachusetts, a position he has held since July 2015. Mr. Chaisson shares primary responsibility for management of each Fund's investment portfolio and has served in this capacity since August 2015. Mr. Chaisson is a 22 year veteran of the investment industry holding several senior executive positions at Smith Barney, Bank of America and, most recently, President of Capital Guardian LLC, a boutique wealth and asset management firm. In addition, Mr. Chaisson spent over 10 years as an army infantry officer serving in posts both domestically and overseas. Mr. Chaisson received a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point and a Masters of Business Administration and Entrepreneurship from DePaul University in Chicago Illinois.

He is a founding principal of the Compass Institute for Professional Education & Development (CIPED) which provides continuing education programs to financial advisors.
