Biography Kevin E. Grant, CFA Chief Executive Officer and President Mr. Grant is the founder of CYS Investments, Inc and has served as Chief Executive Officer, President, and chairman of the board of directors since inception in January 2006. On September 1, 2011, Mr. Grant assumed the title of Chief Investment Officer. In January 2005, Mr. Grant formed Sharpridge Capital Management, L.P. (Sharpridge), which served as a sub-advisor to our prior Manager through August 2011. Prior to forming Sharpridge, Mr. Grant was Vice President and Portfolio Manager at Fidelity Investments, where he had direct or indirect responsibility for management of a number of mutual funds’ fixed income assets, as well as separate accounts for Fidelity’s institutional clients. Over the course of his career at Fidelity, Mr. Grant’s mutual fund responsibilities included the Mortgage Securities Fund, Investment Grade Bond Fund, Total Bond Fund, the fixed income portion of Fidelity Puritan Fund and Strategic Income Fund. Prior to joining Fidelity in 1993, Mr. Grant was head of Mortgage Strategy for Morgan Stanley & Co. Incorporated. He began his investing career at Aetna Bond Investors in 1985. He earned a BA in Economics and an MBA from the University of Hartford. Mr. Grant is a Chartered Financial Analyst, a member of the CFA Institute and the Boston Security Analysts Society.
