He joined Trillium in 2009, and has three decades of experience in investment research and investment management. Matt began his career at Lehman Brothers in 1984 as a technology analyst. In 1989, while covering emerging growth companies for Lehman, he began to incorporate environmental, social and governance factors into his research, becoming the first sell side analyst in the United States to publish on the topic of socially responsible investing in 1994.

Biography Cheryl I. Smith, Ph.D., CFA- Cheryl is a managing partner, economist, strategist, and portfolio manager. She leads our fixed income management process and co-leads our Large Cap Core strategy and Growth and Income strategy. Cheryl is also a member of the portfolio management teams for our All Capitalization Core and Fossil Fuel Free Core strategies and she serves as co-manager of the Green Century Balanced Fund, for which Trillium is the sub-advisor. She began her investment management career at Trillium Asset Management in 1987. In 1992 she joined United States Trust Company in Boston (now known as Walden Asset Management) as Vice President and portfolio manager, before rejoining Trillium in the fall of 1997. Cheryl has served on the Boards of Oikocredit USA; US SIF, including three years as chair of US SIF; Cornerstone Capital, Inc.; Episcopal Divinity School; and on the Steering Committee for the Institute for Responsible Investment. Cheryl is a member of the CFA Society Boston and is a Chartered Financial Analyst charterholder. She is a member of the American Economic Association. Cheryl holds a B.S.F.S. degree from Georgetown University School of Foreign Service, and earned M.A., M. Phil., and Ph.D. degrees in Economics from Yale University.

Biography Paul is a Portfolio Manager, and Research Analyst covering the Consumer Discretionary sector and a member of the portfolio management team for the Sustainable Opportunities strategy. He is also a member of the portfolio management team for the Green Century Balanced Fund, for which Trillium serves as a sub-advisor. Prior to joining the firm, he was Vice President, Sustainable Investment Business Strategy at Calvert Investments. Paul also previously held senior positions within Calvert’s Equities and Marketing Departments. He has also served as Portfolio Manager for Socially Responsible Investing at The Dreyfus Corporation, then a division of Mellon Bank, and as Research Analyst in the Social Awareness Investment (SAI) program at Smith Barney Asset Management, then a division of Citigroup. Paul started his career in the field of SRI as an analyst with the Council on Economic Priorities, a non-profit known for an influential consumer guidebook called “Shopping for a Better World.” Paul currently serves on the Steering Committee of the Intentional Endowments Network (IEN), a network focused on promoting ESG investing uptake by universities and colleges. He is a former Board Chair of US SIF, the U.S. membership for organizations engaged in socially responsible and sustainable investing. He holds Master’s degrees in Anthropology from New York University and Education from Roberts Wesleyan.

Biography Stephanie R. Leighton, CFA- Stephanie Leighton is a partner, portfolio manager, and research analyst. She co-leads our Large Cap Core and Growth and Income strategies and is a member of the portfolio management team for the Green Century Balanced Fund. Prior to joining Trillium in 1990, Stephanie was an Investment Officer at Sun Life of Canada and an analyst at Pioneer Investments. She previously served on the Indigenous Peoples’ Working Group of US SIF and on the Unitarian Universalist Association’s Committee on Socially Responsible Investing. Stephanie holds a B.A. from Bard College and an M.B.A. from Northeastern University. She is a past president of the New England Chapter of the Social Investment Forum. She is a member of the CFA Society Boston, the Boston Economic Club and the CFA Institute. Stephanie is a Chartered Financial Analyst charterholder.

Prior to Mr. Seitchik joining the Baldwin's team, Mr. Seitchik served as co-CEO and CIO of responsible investment specialist Trillium Asset Management and founded the Sustainable Investment Research Center. Mr. Seitchik served as the Chief Global Strategist at Deutsche Asset Management in London, as an Analyst and Portfolio Manager at Wellington Management in Boston, and is a Chartered Financial Analyst. He is a trustee of the Hyams Foundation in Boston and is on the faculty at Bainbridge Graduate Institute, a leader in sustainable business education. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Boston University.

Biography Mr. Robinson, founder and President of Winslow Management Company, has over 26 years of money management experience. Since 1991, Mr. Robinson has focused exclusively on "green" investing. As the Chief Portfolio Manager for Winslow Management Company, Mr. Robinson currently manages environmentally sensitive assets in individual accounts, institutional accounts, and in the Green Century Balanced Fund, a publicly traded mutual fund.

Biography Cox began her career in 1969 as a research analyst with Fidelity Management & Research. In 1974, she moved to First National Bank of Boston, where she served as senior investment officer for six years. She joined Scudder, Stevens & Clark in 1980 and currently serves as vice president. A CFA and CIC, Cox is a member of the Boston Security Analysts Society. She was born August 2, 1946, in Cleveland, Ohio, and has interests in gardening, travel, tennis, and American decorative arts.
