Biography Wiley D. Angell is a Senior Portfolio Manager and Chief Investment Officer of the FAMCO Group of Ziegler Capital Management. He has managed institutional portfolios for over 30 years, specializing in equity, covered call, fixed income and liability driven investing. Mr. Angell co-founded Fiduciary Asset Management LLC (“FAMCO”) in 1994 where he served as President and Chief Investment Officer. FAMCO was acquired by ZCM in May 2015. He served as Portfolio Manager for General Dynamics Corporation from 1991 to 1994, focusing on core, long duration, and immunization fixed income strategies. From 1985 to 1991, Mr. Angell was Treasurer of Franklin Savings Association, where he was responsible for the firm’s hedging strategies and balance sheet risk control. Mr. Angell served on the board and chaired the investment committee for both First State Bank in Pleasanton, Kansas and Hume Bank in Hume, Missouri. He holds a B.A. in business and economics from Ottawa University and currently serves on the Board of Trustees for Ottawa University.
Charles D. Walbrandt Senior Portfolio Manager 2012 2017
Biography Charles D. Walbrandt is Chairman and a Senior Portfolio Manager in the firm’s FAMCO Group. Mr. Walbrandt founded FAMCO in 1994. He previously served in various capacities with General Dynamics Corporation, including Corporate Vice President, Trust Investment and Treasurer. He created the internal investment department at General Dynamics in 1983, designed the portfolio management processes, and managed both equity and fixed income portfolios. Mr. Walbrandt holds a B.S. in economics from the University of Wisconsin, an M.B.A. in finance from St. Louis University and attended John Marshall Law School. A Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder, he is a member of the St. Louis Society of Financial Analysts and a former member of its Board of Governors. Mr. Walbrandt is also a former trustee of the American Red Cross Retirement System.
