Prior to joining Symphony in 2007, Mr. Snyder was an Analyst at SAC Capital where he focused on long and short opportunities in the financial sector. Previously, Previously, Mr. Snyder covered the financial sector as an Equity Research Associate at Citibank and as a Fixed Income Associate at Barclays Capital. Biography Ross Sakamoto is Co-Director of Equity at Symphony and has over twenty years of investment experience. He is responsible for co-heading Symphony’s equity investment strategies along with Joel Drescher and overseeing the equity team’s quantitative research activities and trading. Mr. Sakamoto was an Equity Portfolio Manager of long-only and hedged strategies at Symphony from 1996 to 2002, and rejoined Symphony in 2010 as the Co-Director of Equity. In between his roles at Symphony, Mr. Sakamoto was a Director in the Quantitative Services group at Deutsche Bank Advisors and Managing Director focused on program trading at Bear Stearns & Company from 2002 to 2007. Mr. Sakamoto received his B.S. degree in Business Administration from the University of California, Berkeley

Biography Gunther Stein is Chief Investment Officer, Chief Executive Officer and Co-Portfolio Manager at Symphony. Mr. Stein is responsible for leading Symphony’s fixed-income and equity investments strategies and research efforts, and overseeing firm trading. Prior to joining Symphony in 1999, Mr. Stein spent six years at Wells Fargo where he was most recently a high-yield portfolio manager after being in the firm’s Loan Syndications & Leveraged Finance Group. Before joining Wells Fargo, he was a Euro-currency deposit trader at First Interstate Bank. He also worked for Standard Chartered Bank in Mexico City and Citibank Investment Bank in London. Mr. Stein received an MBA from the University of Texas at Austin and a BA in economics from the University of California, Berkeley.

Biography Mr. Drescher, Co-Director of Equity and Portfolio Manager, is responsible for co-heading Symphony Asset Management LLC’s (“Symphony”) equity investment strategies along with Ross Sakamoto. Prior to joining Symphony in 2012, Mr. Drescher was a Sector Manager at Ascend Capital, where he was responsible for managing all aspects of the investment process for the firm’s consumer discretionary portfolio. Previously, he was the Chief Operations Officer and a Senior Research Analyst at Odyssey Value Advisors and earlier in his career a Financial Analyst in the investment banking group at ING Barings, LLC. Mr. Drescher received an MBA and JD from the University of California at Berkeley’s Haas School of Business and Boalt Hall School of Law, respectively, as well as a BA, conferred with Honors, from Stanford University.
Eric C. Olson Portfolio Manager 2008 2010
Biography Olson is portfolio manger with Symphony Asset Management LLC. Prior to joining the firm in 1998, he was a member of the Active Strategies Group at Barclays Global Investors working on domestic and international quantitative stock selection operations. Olson holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
