Biography Mark McKissick is a Senior Portfolio Manager for Schwab Asset Management. He is responsible for the day-to-day co-management of the Schwab Taxable Bond Mutual Funds and the Schwab Fixed-Income ETFs. Prior to joining Schwab in 2016, Mr. McKissick worked at Denver Investments for 17 years, most recently as a director of fixed income and portfolio manager. In this role he co-managed multiple bond strategies, as well as oversaw the firm’s fixed income business including the investment process, client service, and other administrative functions. He also served as a credit/security analyst from 1999 to 2005. Prior to that, he worked as a senior research analyst with Hotchkis & Wiley, a portfolio manager at Payden & Rygel, and a vice president in fixed income at Salomon Brothers. Mr. McKissick earned a Master of Business Administration with an emphasis in finance and international business from the University of Chicago and a Bachelor of Science in accounting and a Bachelor of Arts in economics from Oklahoma State University. He is a CFA® charterholder and is an inactive Certified Public Accountant (Ohio).

He also has overall responsibility for all aspects of the management of the funds. Prior to joining Schwab in 1999, Mr. Hastings was in fixed income sales and trading at Lehman Brothers. He is a member of the team responsible for the management of the Schwab Taxable Bond Funds and the Schwab Fixed-Income ETFs. His primary focus is on corporate bonds. He has prior experience managing government securities including Treasury inflation-protected securities. Mr. Chan has been a portfolio manager with Schwab Asset Management since 2007 and has held a number of positions at the firm since beginning his tenure in 1996. His previous roles include managing the portfolio operations and analytics group and working as a senior manager in finance. Prior to joining Schwab, Mr. Chan was a manager of finance at GT Capital Management. Mr. Chan earned a Bachelor of Arts in managerial economics from the University of California, Davis. He is a CFA® charterholder and is a member of the CFA Society of San Francisco and the CFA Institute.

Biography Alfonso Portillo, Jr., Senior Portfolio Manager, is responsible for the day-to-day co-management of the Schwab U.S. Aggregate Bond ETF. He has managed the fund since 2011. His primary focus is securitized products. Prior to joining CSIM in 2007, Mr. Portillo worked for ten years at Pacific Investment Management Company, most recently as a vice president and member of the mortgage- and asset-backed portfolio management team. He has worked in fixed-income asset management since 1996.

Biography Senior Portfolio Manager, is responsible for the day-to-day co-management of the Schwab 1-5 Year Corporate Bond ETF, the Schwab 5-10 Year Corporate Bond ETF and the Schwab U.S. Aggregate Bond ETF. His primary focus is on corporate bonds. Prior to joining CSIM in 1999, Mr. Hung was an associate in Schwab’s management training program for nine months. In that role, he worked as a clerk on the options trading floor of the Pacific Coast Stock Exchange.

Biography Jeffrey M. Mortimer, CFA, has been the primary portfolio manager in March 2014. Jeffrey is Director of Investment Strategy for BNY Mellon Wealth Management and has been employed by The Bank of New York Mellon since June 2012. He has been employed by Dreyfus since March 2013. Prior to joining The Bank of New York Mellon, he was a partner at Bainco International Investors from September 2010 to May 2012. He also held various positions in financial management with Charles Schwab Investment Management from October 1997 to July 2010. Jeffrey holds an MBA from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business, and a BS degree from Babson College. He became a CFA charterholder in 1997.

Biography Kimon heads the fixed income portfolio management team and has overall responsibility for Schwab’s taxable and municipal bond and money market funds. Prior to joining CSIM in 1997, he worked at Lehman Brothers as VP and fixed income institutional salesman. Before Lehman, he served as a Sr portfolio manager for Barclays Global Investors. He became a CFA charter holder in 1995. He received an MBA from the University of Chicago in 1985 and a BA from Claremont McKenna College in 1981.

Biography Tikofsky is a Director of Research with Luminent Capital Management which he joined in 2008, prior to that, he was Mortgage Portfolio Manager for all taxable bond funds for Charles Schwab Investment Management from 2006 to 2008.
