Biography James is a quantitative portfolio manager for Nuveen’s global fixed income team and is responsible for quantitative portfolio strategies, derivatives analytics, and performance analysis. Biography Black is currently director of portfolio management with TIAA-CREF, her employer since 1987. She began her career at TIAA as a credit analyst and joined the CREF bond market group in 1989. In 1992, Black moved to the structured finance group and was responsible for investments in mortgage- and asset-backed securities. Black is a Chartered Financial Analyst. She is also a member of both the Fixed Income Analysts Society and the New York Society of Security Analysts.
