And formerly Mr. Hoisington is Executive Vice President and Executive Trust Officer of Texas Commerce Bank, where he achieved a five-year rate of return which, according to industry publications, exceeded the return of most major financial institutions or counseling firms. Prior to joining the bank, Van was an economist with United California Bank in Los Angeles, where he was Director of National and International Macroeconomic Studies. He has appeared on Louis Rukeyser’s Wall Street Week, and as a frequent speaker at Grant’s Interest Rate Observer conferences. Mr. Hoisington received a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Kansas and a Master of Business Administration from Fort Hays Kansas University
Samuel S. Stewart Founder 1986 1996
Biography Sam Stewart was the founder of Wasatch Advisors. During his 43 year tenure, he grew Wasatch to over $17 Billion in assets. Before Wasatch, Sam was a professor of finance at Columbia and the University of Utah, and a Chief Financial Analyst at the SEC. Sam is currently the Lead Portfolio Manager on the Seven Canyons Strategic Income Fund and is also a Portfolio Manager on the Seven Canyons World Innovators Fund and Ark Global Emerging Markets LP.
