PIONEERTOWN, CA - Escape Records released two new musical works from its studio in Pioneertown, California, according to a press release statement issued Friday.
The releases include the "Parallel Universe EP," featuring collaborations between multiple artists, and "Gong Song! (Live from Escape, Pioneertown CA)," a 45-minute sound healing recording by Alessandra Montana.
The EP combines electronic, Americana, and Latin musical styles created during a songwriting retreat at the company’s desert studio. Contributors include studio founder ROC Gardner, Cimafunk, Jamie N Commons, DJ Tennis, and Jan Blomqvist, alongside producers Joseph Ray, Daniel Cantisani, Nikko Gibler, and Devlin Thorn.
The tracks were mixed by Mick Guzauski and mastered by Bernie Grundman. The first single, "Mezcalita," was released Friday, with additional tracks scheduled for release through July 4.
Montana’s "Gong Song!" was recorded live at the Escape studio using vintage equipment and features gongs and other instruments in what the company describes as a meditative sound journey.
The recordings originate from Escape’s 140-acre property located approximately 40 miles from Coachella Valley in California’s high desert region. According to the release, the facility has previously hosted recording sessions for artists including Rüfüs Du Sol, Arctic Monkeys, Usher, and RAYE.
The artwork for the EP features an image titled "Naturally Occurring Emoji" by digital artist BEEPLE.
