McDonald’s character Grimace is set to make its mark in the NFT space. This comes amid a collaboration with Singapore-based crypto firm Bandwagon Labs and local NFT artist The Hidden Walls.

According to a recent notification, McDonald’s Singapore has joined forces with Bandwagon Labs to introduce 2,000 exclusive digital collectibles. Notably, the digital treasures are the handcrafts of the prominent NFT artist Hidden Walls.

The report noted that the strategic partnership reflects McDonald’s Singapore’s commitment to providing its customers with immersive experiences. The fast food giant aims to unveil a unique collection catering to nostalgia-driven memories.

Drina Chee, Senior Director of Digital Customer Experience at McDonald’s Singapore, elaborated on the venture. Chee remarked:

We’re excited to bring Grimace closer to our fans through these unique digital collectibles. Grimace holds a special place in the hearts of many of our superfans, and this initiative allows us to evolve the character from nostalgic memories to love for all generations.

Furthermore, the report highlighted that the Grimace digital collection will be accessible to all. In particular, the NFTs will hit the public through a minting process facilitated by the McDonald’s Singapore app.

Aspiring collectors are encouraged to visit the Grimace Digital Collectible section within the McDonald’s Singapore app. Users can connect their NFT wallet to the platform using web3auth or the MetaMask app.

After a successful connection, a click on ‘Mint Now’ generates the Grimace NFT. The newly minted collectibles will be viewable within the McDonald’s app and on the blockchain.

Interestingly, the report mentioned that these unique NFTs are neither transferable nor tradable. Meanwhile, enthusiasts can start minting the Grimace NFTs from Monday, August 21.
