The crypto market witnessed significant liquidations in the past 4 hours, amounting to $200 million, while in the past 24 hours, the amount went above $500 million.

According to the data from Liquidation Heatmap from blockchain analysis platform CoinGlass, more than $9 million has been liquidated from the digital asset sector in the past hour.

Additionally, Binance, the world’s largest crypto exchange by trading volume, saw the biggest amount of liquidations in the past 24 hours, standing at $213.85 million. In the same time period, $92.88 million was liquidated in Ethereum (ETH).

As per the data from CoinMarketCap, the leading digital assets, BTC and ETH, witnessed a sharp decline of 5.65% and 6.61% in the past 24 hours, respectively. The trading volumes of Bitcoin and Ethereum rose 105.50% and 82%, respectively.

Notably, when Bitcoin achieved $69,000 for the first time after two years in March, the digital asset space saw $1 billion liquidated in just 24 hours, sparking conversations around the industry.

CoinGlass also confirmed in its data that in the past 24 hours, 122,485 traders were liquidated, while the total liquidations came in at $403.06 million. The largest single liquidation order happened on OKX-ETH-USD-SWAP valued at $7.48M. OKX was also the exchange with the second-largest liquidation, amounting to $117 million.
