- The US attorneys asked the US District Judge to impose tougher bail conditions on SBF.
- The proposal was based on the recent attempts from SBF to contact the witnesses.
- SBF tried to contact the FTX officials who had potentially damaging information against SBF.
According to recent reports, the US Attorneys in Manhattan proposed to impose inflexible bail conditions on the disgraceful Sam Bankman-Fried, the former CEO of the crypto exchange FTX. The proposal to the US District Judge Lewis Kaplan has been elicited from the concern that SBF would try to manipulate the witnesses or the shreds of evidence.
Notably, New York Times tweeted that SBF “tried to contact a potential witness in his criminal case”:
Federal prosecutors in Manhattan said on Friday that Sam Bankman-Fried had tried to contact a potential witness in his criminal case, and they asked a judge to impose new bail conditions limiting his ability to communicate with former colleagues. https://t.co/sUWPJwuETt— The New York Times (@nytimes)
