The well-known whale tracking platform WhaleStats posted on Twitter earlier this morning to share new information about the habits of the top 100 largest Ethereum (ETH) whales. According to the post, Aave (AAVE) is currently one of the top 10 cryptocurrencies by trading volume among the 100 biggest ETH whales over the last 24 hours.

AAVE occupies the 9th position on this list at the moment. Some of the other cryptos favored among these 100 ETH whales include Polygon (MATIC), Wrapped Bitcoin (WBTC), Maker (MKR), and Chiliz (CHZ).

According to data from the crypto market tracking website CoinMarketCap, AAVE is one of the many cryptos trading in the red today. AAVE is currently worth about $73.27 after a 0.98% drop in price over the last 24 hours. The altcoin reached a high of $74.48 and a low of $71.51 over the same time period.
Although AAVE strengthened against Bitcoin (BTC) by about 0.48% over the last day, the crypto did weaken against ETH by about 0.14%. In addition to AAVE experiencing a price drop since yesterday, the crypto is also still down by more than 9% over the last week.
AAVE’s 24-hour trading volume is in the green zone and now stands at $63,145,818 after a 3.17% increase since yesterday. In terms of market cap, AAVE stands at $1,032,591,161, which makes it the 44th biggest cryptocurrency in terms of market capitalization. This places it right behind BitDAO (BIT) in the 43rd position.
