In the post, Winklevoss expressed his amazement at how far the Gemini exchange has come, its accomplishment, and its place in the crypto market. Yet, he acknowledged more needs to be done with regard to the trading platform.
Yesterday, marked 8yrs since @Gemini launched. I'm blown away by what we've accomplished yet humbled by the meaningful work still to be done. This birthday has different significance. Meanwhile, Winklevoss underscored that the eighth anniversary carried particular significance, describing it as a part of the “Fight Phase.” The Gemini co-founder characterized the periods since 2015 as a battle between good and evil, pitting innovators against domineering figures.
“It falls in the Fight Phase. A fight of Good vs Evil. Against those who build nothing and want to control everything,” Tyler Winklevoss remarked.
Furthermore, he emphasized that this fight was for the freedom to design and build the life individuals desire for themselves and their families. Notably, the Winklevoss twin brother implied the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) chairman, Gary Gensler.
Notably, early this year, the SEC charged Gemini Trust Company for an alleged unregistered offering and sale of securities to retail investors through the Gemini Earn crypto asset lending program. The U.S. regulator argued that Gemini and Genesis raised billions of dollars worth of crypto from over a hundred thousand investors through the alleged unregistered offering.
Despite the challenges, Winklevoss pledged to continue the struggle alongside the crypto community, expressing confidence in ultimately prevailing. He concluded with a toast to the future and the anticipation of many more successful years ahead for Gemini.
