Goldman Sachs expects Nvidia ’beat and raise,’ lifts price target to $240
Investing.com -- Airtel Africa delivered robust financial results on Tuesday for the half year ended September 30, 2025, with revenue growing 24.5% in constant currency to $2.98 billion, driven by strong demand across all segments.
The telecommunications provider saw its customer base expand by 11% to 173.8 million, with data customers growing at an accelerated rate of 18.4% to 78.1 million. Data revenue surpassed voice for the first time, growing 37% to $1.16 billion as smartphone penetration increased to 46.8%.
Profit after tax surged to $376 million from $79 million in the prior period, benefiting from a $90 million gain largely from Nigerian naira appreciation. EBITDA margins expanded to 48.5% from 45.8%, reaching 49% in the second quarter.
Airtel Money continued its strong momentum with customer growth accelerating to 20%, bringing the total to 49.8 million users. Annualized total processed value exceeded $193 billion, up 35.9% year-over-year.
"Our strategy has been focused on providing a superior customer experience and the strength of these results is testament to the initiatives we have been implementing," said Sunil Taldar, chief executive officer.
The company increased its capital expenditure guidance for FY2026 to between $875 million and $900 million to accelerate investments. The board declared an interim dividend of 2.84 cents per share, up 9.2% in line with its progressive dividend policy.
