LONDON, Sept 11 (Reuters) - Nigeria LNG said it signed a
letter of intent on Wednesday with a consortium for the
engineering, procurement and construction of the Train 7
facility at its liquefied natural gas plant on Bonny Island.
NLNG said in its statement that this was a significant step
toward a final investment decision for the Train 7 project which
will ramp up NLNG's production by 35% to 30 million tonnes of
LNG per year.
The project has been delayed for several years.
The letter of intent was signed with a consortium of
companies comprising Italy's Saipem SPMI.MI , Japan's Chiyoda
6366.T and South Korea's Daewoo DC.UL , NLNG said.
