ONITSHA, Nigeria July 5 (Reuters) - Unknown gunmen have
kidnapped two Chinese workers and killed a policeman in the
southern Nigerian state of Edo, a police spokesman said on
Friday.
The abductions took place on Wednesday on the outskirts of
Benin City, the state capital, Edo state police commissioner
Dan Malam Mohammed told Reuters, adding that the two workers
were employed by a company called Time Multinational.
"The abductors have not made any contact but we are tracking
them," Mohammed said. "No arrest has been made yet."
No further details were immediately available. Kidnappings
are common in southern Nigeria.
