Moody’s downgrades Senegal to Caa1 amid rising debt concerns
Investing.com-- Alibaba Group (NYSE:BABA) on Thursday announced a multi-year partnership with the National Basketball Association to provide artificial intelligence and cloud services in China.
Under the deal, Alibaba will develop applications for the NBA app in China, and will also provide proprietary tech to the group, including an AI model based on the Qwen series, Alibaba said in a statement.
The partnership will also designate Alibaba Cloud as an official cloud computing and AI partner to the NBA in China.
The partnership comes just before the NBA’s return to China after a six-year hiatus. The NBA signed a multi-year deal with Casino operator Sands China to hold games in the mainland and the gambling hub of Macao.
The Brooklyn Nets and the Phoenix Suns are set to play two preseason games in Maco in the coming days.
China represents a major market of basketball fans, with the sport being wildly popular in the country.
