ABUJA, Oct 20 (Reuters) - The speaker of Nigeria's lower
house of parliament said on Tuesday he would not sign off on a
13.08 trillion naira ($34 billion) federal budget for 2021
unless it included provisions to compensate victims of police
brutality over the past two decades.
House of Representatives speaker Femi Gbajabiamila said he
would visit some of the families of those that lost their loved
ones due to police brutality and would work to honour them.
