The fund is managed by State Street Global Advisors Limited. It invests in the public equity markets of the United States. The fund uses derivatives such as swap agreements to invest in stocks of companies operating across diversified sectors. It invests in stocks of large cap companies. The fund seeks to replicate the performance of the S&P 500 Shariah Index, by using synthetic replication methodology. It does not invest in companies engaged in gambling, non-Islamic financials, pornography and alcohol. The fund was formerly known as db x-trackers - S&P 500 Shariah ETF. db x-trackers - S&P 500 Shariah UCITS ETF was formed on July 7, 2008 and is domiciled in Luxembourg.
