He is a CFA Charterholder. Prior to joining Baillie Gifford, Mr. Vaughan was an Officer in the British Army for nine years. He graduated BA (Hons) in Jurisprudence from the University of Oxford in 2001 and MA in International Relations from the University of Exeter in 2012.

Biography	Mr. Davies joined Baillie Gifford in 2012, starting investment life on the European Equities Team before moving to Fixed Income and then the strategy International Alpha. He now works in the Global Alpha Team as an Investment Manager assisting the three decision makers. Mr. Davies grew up in Merthyr Tydfil in South Wales, and became besotted with music at an early age. His interest led him to take up the horn, which fuelled a lifelong passion for the performing arts and took him to Oxford’s Oriel College where he gained a first-class degree in music in 2009.

Biography	Tom Walsh, CFA, Portfolio Manager, joined Baillie Gifford Overseas Limited in 2009 and is an Investment Manager in the European Equity Team. Mr. Walsh joined the International Focus Portfolio Construction Group in 2014. Tom graduated LLB (Hons) in Law & Economics from the University of Edinburgh in 1999 and is both CFA and ACA qualified. He worked at Fidelity International, Merrill Lynch and Deloitte & Touche before joining Baillie Gifford in 2009.Mr. Walsh has been a member of the ACWI ex-US Alpha PCG since 2018.

Biography	Jenny Davis is a portfolio manager for International Alpha clients and has been a member of the International Alpha Portfolio Construction Group (PCG) since 2016. She joined Baillie Gifford in 2011 and worked on two of the Manager's global equity strategies, having started her career at Neptune Investment Management. Ms. Davis graduated MA in Music from the University of Oxford in 2008, and latterly undertook postgraduate studies in Psychotherapy at the University of Edinburgh. Ms. Davis has been a member of the team since 2016.

Biography	Donald Farquharson,CFA, heads the Japanese Equities Team and has been a member of the International Alpha Portfolio Construction Group (PCG) since 2014. He joined Baillie Gifford in 2008 and became a Partner in 2017. He has 32 years' investment experience dedicated almost entirely to Japanese Equities. Mr. Farquharson spent 20 years working for Schroders as a Japanese specialist, latterly as Head of the Pan Pacific Equity Team. Between 1991 and 1995, he headed Schroders' Research Team in Tokyo. Mr. Farquharson graduated MA (Hons) in Arabic Studies from the University of St Andrews in 1987.

Biography	Andrew Stobart has been a portfolio manager in the Emerging Markets Team since 2007 and sits on the Emerging Markets All Cap Portfolio Construction Group. Mr. Stobart has also been a member of the International Alpha Portfolio Construction Group since 2008. Since joining Baillie Gifford as an Investment Analyst in 1991, Mr. Stobart has worked in the U.K., Japanese and North American Teams. Prior to joining Baillie Gifford, Mr. Stobart spent three years working in Investment Banking in London. Mr. Stobart graduated MA in Economics from the University of Cambridge in 1987. Mr. Stobart has been a member of the team since 2007.

Biography	Toby is an Investment Manager on the Sustainable Growth Team and will be a Partner in the firm from May 2023. He first joined Baillie Gifford in 2006, as an analyst on the UK equities team. He joined the Global Income Growth team as an Investment Manager in 2013, and in this role, he helped to develop the team’s approach to responsible investment. He became the Joint Manager of The Scottish American Investment Company PLC (SAINTS) in 2017. In 2022, Toby assumed the leadership of the Sustainable Growth Team.

Biography	Angus Franklin, Investment Manager and Partner at Baillie Gifford, joined the firm in 1994 and became a Partner of Baillie Gifford & Co. in 2012. He graduated MA in Economics and Social History from St. Andrews University. Qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1992.
Jonathan Bates	Portfolio Manager	2010	2019
Biography	Jonathan Bates, Investment Manager and Partner at Baillie Gifford, joined the firm in 1993 and now works full time conducting research for ACWI ex-US Alpha portfolios with specific responsibility for Canadian stocks. Mr. Bates has been a member of the ACWI ex-US Alpha PCG since 2010. Mr. Bates graduated with a B.A. in Modern History from Oxford University in 1990.
