Prior to Canada Post, Derek was Senior Credit Analyst and Trader at Monegy Inc., BMO Global Asset Management’s high yield bond and leveraged loan group. From 2009 until 2015, he was Portfolio Manager at Aurion Capital Management, a pension and high net worth asset manager. Derek’s career in investment research began as Quantitative Analyst and Trader at Credit Risk Advisors, a high yield credit hedge fund where he developed an expertise in credit research and risk assessment. Derek is a CFA Charterholder and has a Bachelor of Applied Science (Engineering) from the University of Waterloo.

Biography	Rohan Thiru, CPA, CA, CFA, Portfolio Manager. Joined Canoe Financial in 2016. Masters of Accounting graduate from the University of Waterloo. Industry start date: 2005. Rohan is a member of the domestic fixed income team and is responsible for credit review and monitoring credit quality across Canadian debt markets. Prior to joining Canoe, he was a credit portfolio analyst at Dynamic and was a credit research associate on the RBC fixed income capital markets desk.

Biography	Marc Goldfried, CFA, Chief Investment Officer and Head of Fixed Income. Joined Canoe Financial in 2015. BA in Economics, York University. Industry start date: 1991. Marc is responsible for oversight on Canoe’s entire suite of fixed income solutions, with lead portfolio manager responsibilities. Prior to joining Canoe, Marc was the CIO and Head of Fixed Income at Aegon Asset Management Inc. where he was responsible for the management of $11 billion.
