Biography | Nicholas is a Deputy Head of Equities, Australian Long Only and is the Senior Portfolio Manager of the Ausbil Active Sustainable Equity strategy and is a member of the Portfolio Construction Committee, having joined Ausbil in 2007. Nicholas has worked in financial markets since 1991, gaining experience working in Sydney, London and New York, including over 16 years in equity analysis. Prior to joining Ausbil, Nicholas worked with Citigroup in Australia and then New York specialising in healthcare and pharmaceuticals equity analysis. Nicholas held earlier positions in structured finance with Bankers Trust in Sydney and equity risk analysis with Commerzbank in London. Biography | Michael manages the Ausbil Active Dividend Income Fund. Michael has over 35 years of quantitative, actuarial and financial markets experience working in Sydney and Melbourne with companies such as AMP Capital, ING Investment Management, Mercantile Mutual and Colonial Mutual. Before joining Ausbil, Michael was Head of Australian Equities at AMP Capital. His primary roles at AMP Capital were the overall management of the $16b Australian equities team and the portfolio management of the sustainable equities and equity income strategies. Prior to joining AMP Capital, Michael was Director – Investment Process at ING Investment Management where he was the portfolio manager for the sustainable, imputation and tax effective Australian equity strategies as well as being a member of ING’s asset allocation committee. Michael’s role at Ausbil includes strategy, portfolio construction and investment management for the equity income strategy. Michael holds a Bachelor of Economics (Actuarial Studies) from Macquarie University and is a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries of Australia. | ||

Biography | Gian is Deputy Head of Equities, portfolio manager for the Ausbil 130/30 Focus Fund and Ausbil Long Short Focus Fund. Gian is a member of Ausbil’s Portfolio Construction Committee, joining Ausbil in 2015. Gian has been in investment and financial services since 1991, gaining experience with companies such as Deutsche Bank, Ellerston Capital, ING and AMP Capital. Before joining Ausbil, Gian was a Co-Head of the Australian Fundamental Equities team at AMP Capital. His primary roles were the management of a long/short equities portfolio, management of a concentrated equities portfolio and overall management of over $7 billion of funds under management. Prior to joining AMP Capital, Gian was Director of Investments and Senior Portfolio Manager at ING where he managed concentrated and long/short portfolios with funds under management exceeding $10 billion. Biography | Paul co-founded Ausbil in 1997 as an Australian equities house, building Ausbil into one of Australia’s leading investment managers offering Australian and global equity funds. Paul holds the position of Executive Chairman of Ausbil, Chief Investment Officer and Head of Equities. He is responsible for portfolio construction and strategy, and management of the Equities team. Paul has been instrumental in building Ausbil into a multi-billion dollar investment manager. Paul’s role includes investment strategy, portfolio construction and input into the investment management of Ausbil’s funds. Paul is a member and Chairman of Ausbil’s Portfolio Construction Committee. He has been in investments since 1979, gaining experience with companies such as Westpac Banking Corporation’s Investment Management Division, Mercantile & General and Legal & General Asset Management. Biography | John has been with Ausbil since 2001, and in the investment industry since 1985. At Ausbil, John holds the position of Co-Head of Equities. John’s role includes strategy and portfolio construction, as well as input into the investment management of the Fund. John is a member of Ausbil’s Portfolio Construction Committee. John has decades of financial services experience with companies such as McNall & Hordern (Sydney), Cazenove & Co (London), Royal Insurance Asset Management (London) and Legal & General Asset Management (Sydney). John’s career includes senior roles in management, stockbroking, investment management and portfolio management in the funds management industry. John’s initial grounding in equity analysis came through positions with stockbroking firms McNall & Hordern in Sydney and Cazenove & Co in London. Whilst in the United Kingdom, John became Portfolio Manager for Royal Insurance Asset Management with responsibility for Asia Pacific Funds. Back in Australia after five years in London, John joined Legal & General Asset Management as a Senior Portfolio Manager. John holds a Bachelor of Economics degree, and is an Affiliate of FINSIA. |
