Biography Louise is a portfolio manager on the UK equities team with joint responsibility for the UK equity portfolios. Biography Georgina joined Newton in 2022 as a portfolio manager co-managing the UK Equity and Sustainable UK Opportunities strategies. Prior to this, she worked at abrdn where she started as a graduate in 2014 and subsequently joined the UK equities team running the ASI UK Equity funds for five years before co-managing the Dunedin Income Growth Investment Trust for the final two years. Her role also involved being a research analyst covering the retail, beverages and construction and building materials sectors. She graduated from the University of Edinburgh with a Bachelor of Science with Honours Mathematics and is also a CFA charterholder. In her spare time Georgina loves to travel with a particular interest in learning to cook and try new cuisines.

Biography Yuko is a member of the equity opportunities team, where she is a portfolio manager for the Sustainable Global Equity and Sustainable US Equity strategies. She is also involved as a portfolio manager in Newton’s Thematic strategies. Prior to Newton, she worked for Aetos Capital, a fund of hedge funds, and Joho Capital, where she covered Japanese consumer, retail, and internet stocks. She started her career at Morgan Stanley in mergers and acquisitions. Yuko has an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business. She is also a member of the Sustainability and Responsible Investment Committee at the Investment Association. Outside of work, Yuko enjoys spending time with her two sons and cooking.

Biography Jeff is a member of our equity opportunities team and specialises in managing a range of global equity strategies. Prior to his current role, Jeff was the CIO at Newton from 2001 to January 2012. Prior to joining Newton, Jeff worked at Towers Watson as a senior research analyst in its asset-consulting practice. Jeff has a BA, has completed an MBA, and is a CFA1 charterholder and a member of the UK Society of Investment Professionals (UKSIP). Outside of work, Jeff plays ice hockey and also enjoys cross-country skiing and cycling.

Biography Through his tenure at Newton, Jon has led both the global equity and multi-asset teams and been responsible for a number of multi-asset and global equity portfolios. As well as his extensive investment roles at the firm, he has also spent time as a member of the commercial team involved in discussing client portfolios and tailoring strategies to meet client requirements. He sits on Newton’s investment risk oversight groups. Jon joined the Newton equity income team in March 2020, and is responsible for both core and sustainable global equity income strategies. Jon joined Newton in 1995 and has a degree in natural sciences from Cambridge University.
Paul Butler Portfolio Manager 2005 2008
Biography Paul joined Newton in 1987 having gained a degree in Natural Sciences at Cambridge University. Initially he worked in the international research department, as an equity analyst. In 1991, Paul moved to fund management, working with Stewart Newton on his UK balanced pension funds. Since 1993, Paul has been responsible for global equity accounts at Newton.
