Biography Mr. Kubiak is a portfolio manager who leads the Intermediate Duration and Municipal/Crossover strategies for LIM. He has over 30 years of investment experience. Before joining LIM in 2010, Ray was Sr. Vice President and Director of Insurance Client Strategies at Standish Mellon Asset Management (SMAM). He and his team managed over $10 billion in assets for insurance companies. At SMAM’s predecessor firm, Standish Ayer & Wood, Ray headed the municipal bond and crossover strategies for the firm, managed portfolios for a wide variety of taxable clients, and was director of municipal bond research. He was a partner and served on the firm’s executive committee. Ray has also managed the fixed income assets of Lee Munder Capital’s private client group, has experience in global bonds and sovereign credit analysis, and was an analyst at Moody’s. He received his Bachelor of Arts from Canisius College, Master of Public Administration from the University of Pittsburgh and a Master of Science in Finance from Boston College. He is a CFA charterholder and a past Chairman of the National Federation of Municipal Analysts.
