Biography Andrew is a portfolio manager in Investec Asset Management’s Value team. He is also the portfolio manager for the Investec Emerging Companies Fund. Andrew previously managed the Investec Emerging Companies Fund from 2003 until 2005, before leaving to help found Afena Capital. Andrew was chief investment officer at Afena Capital. He also held the position of Head of Resources and Financials. Andrew has a Bachelor of Business Science degree in Finance and Accounting (with Honours) and is a CFA Charterholder.

Biography Daniel is a portfolio manager at Investec Asset Management and a member of the SA Equities & Multi-Asset team. He has portfolio management responsibility for the South African Resources Strategy as well as the Small Cap Strategy and is responsible for the analysis of South African precious metals shares. He joined the firm in September 1997 as a portfolio administrator, before moving to the research department in 1999 as an investment analyst in the resources sector. Daniel graduated from the University of Cape Town with a Bachelor of Business Science (Hons) degree in Economics and is a CFA Charterholder.

Biography Middleton joined Investec Asset Management in 2010, and is currently a portfolio manager on the Investec Growth Equity strategy. Richard Middleton started his investment career at Gold Field's Minerals Economic division as a mining analyst. After which he completed an MBA at Wits, and embarked on a career in asset management as a precious metals analyst with Rand Merchant Bank Asset Management in 1998. He joined Liberty Asset Management as an Industrial Analyst and Assistant Portfolio Manager in 1999, and left to take over the management of the STANLIB Capital Growth Fund in 2002. In 2003 the Fund received the Standard and Poor’s award for best performing fund in the growth category over one year. Middleton headed up Stanlib's growth franchise for 3 years, including management of the growth unit trust for 7 years. In addition, Richard was responsible for a number of segregated clients, their quantitative unit trust as well as a market neutral hedge fund. Richard holds a degree in Metallurgical Engineering and an MBA from the University of the Witwatersrand.
Neil Stuart Findlay Portfolio Manager 2001 2012
Biography Neil is a portfolio manager within Investec Asset Management’s SA Equities & Multi Asset team, where his focus is on listed property. Neil commenced listed real estate portfolio management and analysis upon transferring to the investment team in February 2004. Prior to joining the firm, Neil worked in London at Coutts Private Bank and Deutsche Asset Management. He graduated from the University of Cape Town with a Bachelor of Business Science (Hons) degree in Accounting and Finance. Neil is a CFA Charterholder.
