Welsh has a BS from the University of Kansas (1985) and an MBA from Northwestern University (1993). Formerly a Senior Associate of Valuation Services with Coopers & Lybrand, 1990-92; and Consultant, Valuation Services with Price Waterhouse, 1985-90. Welsh has sixteen years of investment experience. He joined Harris Associates in 1992.
