Biography | Tom record joined Fidelity International in February 2024 and will start co-portfolio management responsibilities on Global Special Situations / World strategy w.e.f. 1 April 2024. Tom joins us from Liontrust (Majedie Asset Management, before its acquisition in 2022), where he has managed the Liontrust Global Equities (c.100 stocks) and Liontrust Global Focus (c. 40 - 50 stocks) funds since 2014, and International Equity (ex-US) Fund since 2019, whilst also acting as Head of Global Equities to build out the Global Franchise. Before joining Majedie, Tom was a Portfolio Manager at Baillie Gifford, where his team was responsible for managing institutional portfolios with combined international equity assets of c. $30 billion. While at Baillie Gifford, he also managed a selection of Global Emerging Market funds, including one focused on China. Tom started at Baillie Gifford as an analyst in 2002, taking on his first PM role in 2005 in Emerging Markets, followed by an International portfolio (Global ex US) from January 2006. Biography | Kavé joined Baillie Gifford in 1999. He is head of research for the UK Equity Team, and Chair of the firm’s Investment Risk Committee. He initially worked on the European Small and Mid-Cap Team before moving to the UK Team in 2002. Kavé joined the International Growth Portfolio Construction Group in 2005 and went on to set up a dedicated research team for that group in 2011. Biography | James graduated BA in History from Oxford University and after postgraduate study in Italy and Canada he gained an MA in International Affairs in 1982. He is a Trustee of the Johns Hopkins University. He joined Baillie Gifford in 1983 and became a Partner in 1987. He headed our European Equity team until 2003 when he founded our Long Term Global Growth strategy. He has Chaired the EAFE Alpha Portfolio Group since its inception in 2003 and has been the Manager and then Joint Manager of Scottish Mortgage Investment Trust since 2000. In 2015 James became the Chair of our newly formed Equity Improvement Group. He has also served as a member of the Advisory Board of the government sponsored Kay Review and as Chair of the subsequent industry working group that set up the UK Investor Forum. | ||
