Biography While earning his B.S. from Montana State University, Kermit Eck competed as captain of his school’s varsity tennis team. He joined Cooke & Bieler after receiving his M.B.A. from Stanford University in 1980, and then left the firm in 1984 to become director of product marketing for Eczel Corp., a computer-products start-up company. Between 1987 and 1992, Mr. Eck belonged to an investor group that purchased privately held companies, serving as executive vice president for one of those businesses, Keystone Natural Water. He returned to Cooke & Bieler in 1992 and currently serves on both the board and finance committee of the Church Farm School.
