Investing.com -- U.S. crude oil inventories rose more than expected last week, according to the Energy Information Administration.
Crude oil inventories rose by 2.588 million barrels, against expectations for a build of 1.029 million barrels, the EIA reported.
The EIA also reported that distillate stockpiles rose by 0.17 million barrels last week. The expectation had been for a draw of 1.138 million barrels.
Gasoline inventories, meanwhile, fell by 1.478 million barrels, against expectations for a draw of 0.805 million barrels, the EIA said.
