LONDON, June 8 (Reuters) - Angolan crude cargoes remained in
ample supply on Wednesday due to a lack of Chinese demand, while
sellers of some Nigerian grades were heard to be seeking higher
premiums.
PLATTS WINDOW
* No cargoes were offered, bid or traded in the Platts
window, a source said.
ANGOLA
* Around 10-12 cargoes of Angolan crude remained to be sold
for export in August, up from 10 estimated on Tuesday. A lack of
Chinese demand has left more cargoes than normal unsold at this
stage in the trading cycle.
* Supplies of Congolese Djeno crude are also seeking a home,
a trader said, underlining the lack of Chinese buying interest.
NIGERIA
* Bonny Light and Qua Iboe are being offered in excess of
dated Brent plus $1.00 a barrel, a trader said, higher than last
reported on June 30 as sellers have become more bullish on the
prospects for light, sweet grades.
* An explosion at the Gbetiokun oil field in southern
Nigeria's Niger Delta region during the installation of a ladder
on a platform killed seven people, the state oil company said on
Wednesday. It wasn't immediately clear if the incident had
affected oil output or exports.
