Future Metals appoints Keith Bowes as managing director and CEO

PERTH - Future Metals NL (ASX|AIM:FME) has appointed Keith Bowes as its new Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, the platinum group metals (PGM) exploration company announced Monday.

Bowes brings over 30 years of experience in resource project development, metallurgy, and operations across multiple continents. A process engineer by training, he previously spent two decades at Anglo American and BHP working on various projects, including copper initiatives in Zambia, zinc projects in Namibia, and nickel operations in Western Australia and South America.

Since 2013, Bowes has worked with junior mining companies, leading development teams for niobium, uranium, zinc, and copper projects. Most recently, he served as both Managing Director and Technical Director at Lotus Resources Ltd, where he was involved in redefining the Kayelekera Uranium Project in Malawi and acquiring the Letlhakane Uranium Project in Botswana.

Bowes currently holds a Non-Executive Director position at Peninsula Energy Ltd and previously served as a Non-Executive Director at Copper Strike Ltd. He has a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering and is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Patrick Walta, Future Metals’ Non-Executive Chairman, stated that Bowes’ technical and executive expertise would be valuable as the company advances its flagship Panton Project and the emerging Eileen Bore Project.

Future Metals’ Panton Project contains approximately 4 million ounces of palladium equivalent at 3.3 grams per tonne in its high-grade zone, according to the company’s press release statement.
